SharpeCore taps into existing Shibboleth (version 1.3c at the moment) to provide extra functionalities. It integrates with Shibboleth seamlessly without the need to modify the current installation of Shibboleth. For some features, such as Attribute Mapping,
ShareCore? has provided its equivalent shib implementation code in place of the original shib code.
The current version provides the following functionalities:
- extension to ARP to recognize group functionality (i.e. group ARP)
- extension to resolver to be able to perform mappings of attributes from different schemas
- provide APIs for WebSharpe and Autograph
- works on top of current Shibboleth 1.3c without the need to modify any of Shibboleth library
- integrate with Shibboleth in non-intrusive way, acts as extension to Shibboleth
