MAMS Testbed Federation Mini-Grant Scheme - Round 2
MAMS Contacts
Background
In order to promote growth and use of the "MAMS Testbed Federation", MAMS proposed a mini-grant scheme to DEST which provides funding assistance for HE institutions to join the testbed federation as an
IdP and SP. As the attractiveness of a Federation is based on the value of available services, the emphasis was on encouraging HE institutions to join as SPs. DEST agreed to provide funding of $40K to 8-10 institutions, in two rounds.
Round 2 Invitation
After the successful first round of 5 mini-grant projects at the start of 2006, MAMS seeks to further promote the adoption of the MAMS Shibboleth®-based Testbed Federation (www.federation.org.au) within Australia. The main goal of the MAMS Testbed Federation is to increase Australian research effectiveness by providing easier access to secure data and services. MAMS invites applications for round-2 of the program, offering 5 mini-grants worth $40,000 to increase adoption of the Testbed Federation.
